Our mission at Whaling City Expeditions is to provide you with a unique, exciting, and educational experience.  We offer both boat tours and land tours, and our enthusiastic employees want to work with you to customize the tours to fit your specific interests.

Whaling City Harbor Tour
Take a 70-minute vacation!  Our clean, quiet vessel takes you and your out-of-town visitors on a relaxing cruise around the historical New Bedford/Fairhaven Harbor.  Highlights include the Palmer's Island Lighthouse, Fort Pheonix, the largest Hurricane Barrier on the East Coast, a working fishing fleet, Coast Guard Cutters, and lots of Whaling History!

Tours leave daily during the summer from New Bedford's Waterfront Visitors Center at 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm.  Adults $14, Seniors $12, and Children (12 & under) $7.   Saturdays and Sundays through September.   Hourly during Working Waterfront Festival September 27 and 28.

Private Charter, Whaling City Harbor Tour
Plan to spend your next company gathering, birthday, wedding anniversary, or family reunion with us!  Charter the Coast Guard inspected vessel Acushnet for your own private tour of the New Bedford/Fairhaven Harbor (see highlights above).  $285 per boatload (holds 26 passengers).  Please call for special School Group Pricing.

Sunset Cruise
Watch the sun go down behind picturesque Palmer's Island Lighthouse on the Harbor, while you relax with some wine and snacks (BYOB).  This cruise is a favorite among our regular customers, and our captains will customize the tour to suit your particular style.  $330 per boatload (holds 26 passengers).

Mooring Rentals
Convenient mooring locations available, near Captain Leroy's Marina on Pope's Island in New Bedford.  Our launch service is available.  Seasonal and Transient (Overnight) available.

Water Taxi & Launch
Our launch service is available to bring you to and from your mooring, or to and from harborside destinations.  $4.00/person
